The Pennsylvania System of School Assessments are coming up quickly. Grades 3-8 will take the English and Language Arts tests April 23-25 and math test April 28-29. PSSA science will be taken May 1-2 for grades 5 and 8.

The Keystone exams will be as follows: Algebra I at the middle school May 13-14, Algebra I at the high school May 12-13. The biology test will be May 14-15 and literature May 19-20.

Salisbury school yearbooks are now on sale. Check your student’s backpack for the order form.

Salisbury Township schools will be closed April 17-21 for spring break.

The next curriculum and technology meeting will be 7 p.m. April 23, immediately followed by the school board meeting 8 p.m. at the administration building.

On April 30, the South Mall will hold an Intellectual Disabilities/Autism Waiver Provider Resource Carnival. This event runs 5-8 p.m. hosted by the Lehigh Valley Supporting Families Collaborative together with Lehigh Valley Intellectual Disabilities Program. Enjoy a resource fair with a bit of a twist. Food Truck Thursdays at the South Mall will still be held during construction this summer. The first week will be 4-8 p.m. May 1.

Salisbury Township announced on their website our trash servicer, Whitetail Disposal has been acquired by Casella Waste Systems. Our collection days and service will stay the same, but they will slowly be introducing the Casella trucks. If you have any questions, contact the township at 610-797-4000.

Yard waste drop offs will be open next week. The Franko site will be open April 21, 24 and 26. Devonshire will be open April 17, 19 and 28. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
