HELLERTOWN CONCERT: On Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m., the Hellertown Historical Society and The Lehigh Valley Mandolins invite you to a one-of-a-kind performance by the Reading Mandolin Orchestra inside the historic 1760s Tavern Room at the Heller-Wagner Grist Mill.

The orchestra will present a lively program of Italian and Latin beats, featuring acoustic stringed instruments and historic compositions — some dating back to the mid-1800s.

RESILIENCE WORKSHOP: The public is invited to a free program, “Narrative Medicine for Resilience and Well-Being Workshop,” a practical course into the nuts and bolts of well-being, why it matters, and how to nurture it, on Friday, April 18, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at Northampton Community College’s East 40 — the 40+ acres on the east side of the Bethlehem campus, 3835 Green Pond Road. (a map is available at ncceast40.org/maps).

The program will be presented by Reset Outdoors, a Bethlehem-based organization that works to connect people with the healing power of nature.

The workshop is part of NCC’s 2024-2025 Annual Humanities Program, Stories That Shape Us: Turn the Page, Connect, Engage!, which includes a mindfully orchestrated lineup of events dedicated to the exploration of cultural narratives that shape the understanding of the world.
