Louise C. “Weezie” Shapiro, 84, of Macungie, died April 3, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Robert H. “Shep” Shapiro for 61 years until he died Jan. 31. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Carmella (LaGuardia) Luongo.

She worked in data entry for the Internal Revenue Service. Along with her husband and daughters, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it be summers in Atlantic City or Bushkill Park. She loved playing piano, going to the casino, seeing Frankie Valli in concert and watching her game shows.

She is survived by daughters, Joanne Bartell (Michael), of Pocono Summit and Veronica Stoeckel (Darrin), of Fogelsville; sister, Lucille Evelyn, of Florida; grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Nicole and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Ashton and Gunner. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Koscinski.
