Louise C. “Weezie” Shapiro, 84, of Macungie, died April 3, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of the late Robert H. “Shep” Shapiro for 61 years until his death on Jan. 31.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. she was a daughter of the late Michael and Carmella (LaGuardia) Luongo.

She worked in data entry for the IRS.

Along with her husband and daughters, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it be summers in Atlantic City or Bushkill Park.

She loved playing piano, going to the casino, seeing Frankie Valli in concert and watching her game shows.

Her survivors include daughters Joanne Bartell (Michael) of Pocono Summit and Veronica Stoeckel (Darrin) of Fogelsville; sister Lucille Evelyn of Florida; grandchildren Michael, Justin, Nicole and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Justin, Ashton and Gunner.

She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Koscinski.

Her services will be private.
