Frank J. “Smokie” Solderits, 87, of Slatington, died March 29, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital- Carbon, Lehighton. He was the husband of Karen F. (Funk) Solderits for 46 years.

Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Kerschner) Solderits.

He was employed as a truck driver for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Northampton, for 32 years before retiring in 1996.

He was a former member of Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club in Northampton.

He attended Bethany Church in Wescosville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Patricia Bodner and Linda Pizzo both of Northampton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Robert Cenchitz, LeRoy, John and Betty Cenchitz.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
