The Northampton boys captured the Zephyr Relay event held this past weekend at Whitehall High School.

The boys scored 101 points, well ahead of Freedom’s 83 which was second.

Two boys took first place finishes at the event. Andrew Whitman won the 400 with a time of 51.34. Andrew Szeplaki took the pole vault competition when he cleared 12-6. He was ahead of teammate Samuel Hayes who cleared 12-0 for second place. Whitman was second in the 200 with a 22.92 just behind Jalen Moore’s (Pittston) 22.83.

In the 800, Brady Dolak took second with a 1:59.92, which was a hair behind Preston Klem’s (Pittston) 1:59.44.

The girls finished 10th at the event.

Anne Beenders was the girls highest finisher, taking second in the high jump clearing 5-1. She was behind Emma Snyder of Palmerton, who won with a 5-3.

In the javelin Daviana Jones of Becahi was the winner with a throw of 104-00. Taking third was Northampton’s Alexa Wiland, who had a throw of 97-01.50.

The 1600 relay team of Hailey Barreto, Peighton Evangelista, Brooke Saul and Brianna Caulwell was fourth with a time of 4:22.74.

Liv Jusinski was fifth in the 3200 with a time of 12:30.97. Also taking fifth was Victoria Phillips in the 300 hurdles with a time of 50.45.
