Whitehall Zephyrs cheering will be holding a car wash fundraiser 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 28 at Hometown Auto Spa, 3318 Seventh St., across from Lehigh Valley Ice Rink. The cost is $10.

Gockley Elementary School’s family open house will be 5-7 p.m. May 9. Families are welcome to visit classrooms and see students’ work.

PTO PLUS will also be selling Zephyr spirit wear.

Gockley Elementary will participate in the Four Diamonds Mini-THON, which helps to raise money to fight pediatric cancer.

Four Diamonds’ mission is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children and their families through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research.

Whitehall-Coplay School District helps raise money through this event at Whitehall High School, and the elementary schools also donate to this cause.

Gockley students can donate a dollar in exchange for a coloring page. The completed colored pages will hang around the school. The class that raised the most money will be announced May 10.

Then, representatives from WHS Student Council will come and share an ice cream treat and some recess games for the winning class the week of May 13.
