LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

GUEST VIEW I Spring forward at your library

Happy National Library Week - April 7-13 this year.

Cheers for 50 years for Parkland Community Library.

Hope you enjoyed the eclipse safely! Thanks to a grant, the library handed out 500 solar eclipse glasses.

Pickleball, anyone?

More puzzles for the rainy days?

Check out new additions to the Library of Things.

Thank you to the 100-plus people who completed the online and/or paper library survey.

The library will use your responses to guide future endeavors.

April is National Volunteer Month and the library celebrates its many volunteers.

You will find volunteers shelving books, board members giving their time and expertise, and the Friends of the Library raising funds by operating the book shop.

Also, the public libraries of Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton counties are excited to announce the formation of the Multi-District Lehigh Valley Pocono Library Partnership.

The 20 public libraries began directly sharing resources, such as books, DVDs, CDs, and other library materials on April 3.

Library patrons now have unprecedented direct access to an incredible number of items - more than 1.4 million from 26 library outlets across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

This process is made possible by SPARK, the integrated library system, that each library uses for the management of its library materials.

Patrons can search for items, place holds, and in most cases, will have the item sent to their home library within three business days.

As always, we are glad to see you at the library and out in the community.
