District News: Family Night planned for April 17 at high school

This year’s Whitehall-Coplay School District Family Night will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. April 17 at Whitehall High School. This event is a celebration of our community and its cultural diversity. It is a great opportunity for families and community members to gather, learn and play together.

Prom tickets will be on sale through April 18. The cost is $85 and can be purchased with cash or through MySchoolBucks. Cash sales will occur before school in the school store, during some lunches in the school store and after school in room E108.

If you want to purchase through MySchoolBucks, there is a form on Google Classroom.

WHS’ Class of 2026 will hold a fundraiser 5-9 p.m. April 19 at Samuel Owens Restaurant & Bar, 128 Chestnut St., Coplay, for dine-in or takeout. When you are placing your order, simply state you are supporting the class.

Gockley Elementary School will be hosting an open house for the community 6-8 p.m. April 24.

The school will be open for all to take a look around before the beloved building gets a well-deserved update and takes on a new function.

The senior class officers are hosting a supply drive to support Lehigh Valley Humane Society & Vet Clinic in April. Please consider donating towels of any size and cat/dog toys and treats.

Donations should be dropped off in room E108.

Registration is now open for the second annual Mia Due Memorial Fund Golf Classic tournament, set for Aug. 3 at The Club at Twin Lakes, 3625 Shankweiler Road, Allentown.

Parent/guardians of graduating seniors: The flower and gift provider for this year’s graduation ceremony June 3 is now accepting orders.
