Charles E. Suter

Charles E. Suter, 90, of Bangor, died April 4, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson campus. He was the husband of Emma L. (Rohn) Suter for 49 years.

Born in Lower Nazareth Township, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Beatrice (Engler) Suter.

He served his country as an airman first class in the U.S. Air Force during peacetime.

He was last employed by Victaulic Corporation, Easton, as an engineering lab technician for 18 years, retiring in 1995.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He was a former member and bowler with the Mixed League Bowlers at Blue Valley Bowling, Wind Gap, was a former golfer with the Nazareth Community Golf League and achieved Eagle Scout rank with Troop 32, Nazareth.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dennis; a daughter, Donna; a sister, Ilene and husband Ricardo Coroniti of King of Prussia; a stepson, Wayne Getz and wife Lianne of Sacramento, Calif.; four stepdaughters, Judy Barron of Nazareth, Karen Buskirk of Bangor, Susan and husband Alan Hartranft of Florida and Linda and husband Joseph Capone of Pen Argyl; nine stepgrandchildren; and many stepgreat- and stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., April 12 at the funeral home, 211 E. Center St., Nazareth, 18064.

Contributions may be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s memorial fund, c/o the funeral home.
