EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My mom Laura, my dad John and my brothers Gabriel and Jonathan.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subjects are science and math. Science because it’s neat to understand how things work and because of all the history and possibilities of space. Math because it’s always come easy to me and it is pretty cool it all just makes sense.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have achieved Principal’s Honor Roll the majority of my high school career and I also received a Presidential Award for Academic Achievement from East Stroudsburg University where I will be attending college next fall.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in this activity impacted your high school experience?

A. While I don’t participate in extracurricular activities through EHS, I have played the piano for over seven years. Playing the piano has impacted my high school experience by providing me a self-contained creative outlet to escape to when the everyday pressures of being a high school student start to build up.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date is procrastination. You would think that after a few years of battling this I would’ve found a working strategy, but it keeps coming back like an old enemy.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My next goal after high school is to successfully complete a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. After that, hopefully getting a good job and having a stable life.

Q. Whom do you hope to emulate? Why?

A. The people I hope to emulate are those who have found their passion and execute it effectively and amazingly. The work they do feeds back to themselves as motivation for more enhanced creativity which can make their results extremely well-polished and help them be more successful on their chosen path.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as being a great human that was very good at his job.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Don’t be so hard on yourself to the point of frustration and anger, only enough so you have the motivation to come out a better student or person on the other side.
