Kelly M. Bond

Kelly M. Bond, 62, of Kempton, died peacefully Feb. 26, 2024, at home.

She was the loving wife of Jonathan C. Bond, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage in October 2023.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Delphine (Carr) Marquette and the late James H. Marquette.

She last worked as an office administrator for the Agricultural Extension at Penn State.

She was a member, newsletter publisher and former council member of New Bethel Church, Kempton.

She was also a member of the Albany Township Historical Society and was formerly very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her two sons Samuel M. “Sam” Bond and fiancée, Chelsea Geisinger of Mohrsville, and Noel M. Bond of the U.S. Peace Corps, currently serving in Zambia, Africa; brother James “Jim” (Michelle) Marquette of West Chester; sister Karen (James) Gingrich of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Jane Marquette.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. March 2, at New Bethel Church, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, with a visitation period from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Robert Ziehmer will officiate.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to either New Bethel Church, sent directly to the church or to a charity of one’s choice c/o Nester Funeral Home Inc., 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, PA.
