Joanne L. Billig, 89, of Fogelsville, died Feb. 20, 2024, at Atrium of Allentown. She was the wife of the late Harold J. Billig.

Born in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Sherman A. and Sylvia (Aderhold) Mutchler.

She was a payroll clerk at Lycoming Division of AVCO, Williamsport, for 20 years and retired in 1972.

She was a member of Hope Community Evangelical Congregational Church, Fogelsville.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, New Temple Chapter 298, Allentown.

She is survived by seven stepchildren, Florence L. Pail with John of Catasauqua, David D. with Sandy of Fogelsville, Diane M. Cichonski with Charles of Allentown, Donald W. with Julann of Germansville, Judith M. Friedman with Thomas of Lansdale, Douglas E. with Jane of Fogelsville and Sherri L. Confalone with Dan of Allentown; a son-in-law, Larry Peters of Walnutport; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three stepchildren, Carol A. Peters, Harold Granville Billig and Barbara Ann Burkhard; and a sister, Nancy Jane Lehman.
