Joan K. Groman, 58, of Walnutport, died Feb. 17, 2024, at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Terry Groman.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy (Derr) and Richard Schwechten Sr.

She was a military police woman in the U.S. Army.

She was a manufacturer in electronics for Infinera, Allentown. She worked earlier for Lucent Technologies, Allentown.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Christine Steward of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a sister, Kim Brong of Bath; and a brother, Richard Schwechten Jr. of Roseto.
