The Pennsylvania Football Writers announced the all-state teams last week with 13 players from across the Lehigh Valley being represented throughout all six classes.

Northwestern led the charge with five players on the 3A squad, as the Tigers deep run to the state final helped spur their case.

The five players chosen were Dalton Clymer (RB), Ben Walters (OL), Bryer Reichard (DL), Shane Hulmes (LB) and Eli Zimmerman (DB) were named to the team.

Palmerton’s star quarterback Matt Machalik and Jim Thorpe lineman Noah Rosahac also earned 3A honors.

In 6A, three players earned nods and not surprisingly they came from Parkland and Nazareth. Trojan star running back Trey Tremba and Nazareth lineman Sean Kinney and wide receiver Mason Kuehner round out the East Penn Conference’s representations.

Marian Catholic closes out the selections with three players named to the 1A team, as tight end Michael Gelatko, defensive lineman James Rodino and linebacker Jesse Rodino earned honors.
