State police

Simple assault

A 39-year-old female, of Zionsville, allegedly struck another person in the face, injuring the person, during an argument at a residence on Dillingersville Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:25 a.m. Nov. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI accident

An Allentown motorist and her passenger were hurt when their vehicle hit a curb before going off the road in the 3400 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Upper Milford Township, 12:44 p.m. Nov. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was northbound on Cedar Crest Boulevard in the area of Pine Street when the vehicle went off the road and struck the curb at the intersection. The vehicle continued off the road. The motorist and the passenger, of Emmaus, were transported by Emmaus Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. The motorist was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, careless driving and two additional charges, according to authorities. Detwiler’s Towing, Upper Milford Township firefighters and Emmaus police also responded to the crash scene.

DUI

A 33-year-old male, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 5900 block of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:41 a.m. Oct. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 37-year-old male, of Zionsville, allegedly grabbed and pushed another person at a location on Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, around 12 a.m. Nov. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The person who was grabbed had bruising to a shoulder and a rib.

Theft

Two rat traps, with a value of $19.99, were removed from a location along Bell Gate Road, Lower Milford Township, overnight Oct. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two “Now Hiring” pole sleeve covers were removed for signs at Taco Bell, 5374 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, between 9 and 10:07 p.m. Nov. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The estimated value of the cover sleeves is $50.

A purse and its contents, including multiple credit cards, were stolen from a location on North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Nov. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Multiple attempts were made to use the cards at many locations. Contents of the purse also included a U.S. passport card, a Pennsylvania driver’s license, a Social Security card and a wallet valued at $250.

Forgery

Someone allegedly stole, altered and cashed a check from Kay Builders, Inc., Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The check was altered to $13,590 and cashed by a fraudulent recipient, according to authorities. The incident was reported Nov. 3.

Identity theft

A resident of Autumn Blaze Circle, Lower Milford Township, learned her personal information was used to open two accounts for approximately $11,000, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 21.

Dog violation

A 43-year-old male, of Emmaus, was hurt when a dog bit him at Lenape Park, Kings Highway South, Upper Milford Township, 2:57 p.m. Oct. 21. The dog slipped its collar and bit the man on the arm after he first asked permission of the dog’s handler to pet the dog.
