Support military families by serving as a critical community services caseworker for American Red Cross. Good computer skills with Internet search tools and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as effective interviewing skills and pleasant and friendly manners respectful of human dignity are required. As one of Pennsylvania’s largest nursing homes, Gracedale is always buzzing with activity. Volunteers assist residents with in-house appointments including clinics and beauty shop. Opportunities available between 9 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday. Flexible scheduling. Background check and training required. All volunteers must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Looking to share the Christmas City spirit? Visitor Center volunteers serve as the first point of contact for guests in Historic Bethlehem, particularly during the holiday season, by welcoming guests to town, informing them on current Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites offerings and helping to ensure a positive experience in the Historic Visitor Center. Drivers are needed to take elderly or disabled people grocery shopping and/or to medical appointments. Mileage reimbursement available and excess automobile insurance provided by ShareCare Faith in Action. Must submit to a criminal background check and attend an orientation training. We need care every day! Stanley Llama and the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas and other animals would love to meet you. The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield needs volunteers to assist with their daily feeding and watering. Small groups also needed to help with ground maintenance, composting and cleaning of stalls. Our food pantry seeks hardworking volunteers to assist with unloading the van and stocking shelves between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Fridays. Volunteers must be able to lift 15-20 pound boxes of food and will bring down the donation to weigh and organize the food on shelves at Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem. Breakfast with Santa at Camp Fowler is a fun-filled morning that includes a hot breakfast, holiday-themed activities, craft making, a hot chocolate bar, rescue dogs/puppies to visit and an opportunity to have your picture taken with Santa. Hosted by Valley Youth House, Orefield, volunteers are needed 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 9 to help with set-up, cooking, serving, manning the activities and clean up. Minimum age 16 or 10 with adult. Do you like to wrap gifts? Women of Excellence Bethlehem needs up to 40 volunteers per shift/per day to assist with the sorting and wrapping of gifts Thursday to Sunday through Dec. 15. Assistance will be needed at the distribution event 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 16. Minimum age 13 with adult. Community service hours available for students.
