Plan to attend school holiday concerts

All township schools will be closed Nov. 22-27 in observation of the Thanksgiving holiday. School will reopen Nov. 28.

It is winter concert season. Salisbury High School will hold its holiday concert 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in the school auditorium.

Salisbury Middle School will be the next holiday concert 7 p.m. Dec. 7 in the school auditorium.

Salisbury Elementary School will show its holiday spirit with two concerts: Dec. 14, kindergarten will perform 9:15 a.m. and first grade will follow 10:15 a.m.

On Dec. 15, second grade will perform 9:15 a.m. and third and fourth grades will follow 10:15 a.m. If able, be sure to join your students for their holiday concerts.

Salisbury Angels is a holiday gifting program for those families within the district experiencing extreme financial hardship during the holiday season. If your family, or someone you know, is experiencing an extreme hardship with students up to and including high school seniors, contact District Social Worker Jill Williams at jwilliams@salisburysd.org for more information on this program.

The Salisbury Township School District is excited to invite members of the community to join its wellness committee. They are dedicated to promoting the overall health and wellness of the school community as a whole and are looking for individuals to join them in their mission to assist in advancing the wellness goals of the district.

Is your student looking for something to do this winter? SMS and SHS winter sports and activities are looking for team members. Boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, rifle, swimming, twirling, unified bocce and wrestling are all getting things in order for their seasons.

The district continues to look for motivated individuals looking for a great job working with the children of our district as instructional assistants as well as food service positions. For details, visit salisburysd.org/jobs.

Paragon Transit also continues to search for bus and van drivers to transport our students to and from school.

Township leaf collection continues through December. Please have leaves placed at the curbside, with no sticks or branches, to make it easier for them to be vacuumed. Locations for collections will be updated on the township website weekly.

The Devonshire Drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 25. This will be the last day the drop off centers are open for 2023.

Save the Date! Eastern Salisbury Fire Department members will escort Santa around the east side of the township Dec. 16. More details to come on the fire company Facebook page.
