Debra L. Siekonic

Debra L. Siekonic, 70, of Lehigh Township, died Nov. 6, 2023, at home. She was the wife of Joseph J. Siekonic for 34 years.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Joyce (Everett) Silfies.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business and graduated from Cedar Crest College. She took classes at the Baum School of Art.

She was an underwriter for Chubb Insurance, Bethlehem, for 18 years until she retired in 2016. Earlier, she was the office manager for Stanwood Mills, Slatington, for 19 years.

She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmanuelsville.

She was formerly active with the Silver Sneakers group at the Northampton Recreation Center.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tracy Pellegrino of Apopka, Fla., and Kelly Werner of Northampton; a son, Jason Rauch and wife Kimberly of Whitehall; a stepdaughter, Trisha and husband Norman Best of Northampton; a stepson, Joseph J. Jr. of Allentown; three brothers, Herman Silfies and wife Chong of Cottonwood, Calif., and David Silfies and wife Denise and Timothy Silfies and companion Donna Balliet, all of Palmerton; two sisters, Susan and husband Jeffrey Stettler of Allentown and Karen and husband Mark Hayman of Jim Thorpe; four grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
