LV Active Life offers dances, classes in November

Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W Elm St., Allentown, will offer the following dances 7-10 p.m. during November in the Trexler Room.

The per person fee includes refreshments.

·Nov. 11: “KATO”

·Nov. 18: “The Chas Band”

·Nov. 25: “Johnny K”

The following creative arts classes will also be offered.

·Nov. 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29: Arts and Crafts led by Trisha Baker, 9-11 a.m.

·Nov. 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 and 29: Suzanne Bauder’s Art for Everyone, noon.

New and advanced students are welcome.

·Nov. 9, 16 and 30: Knit and Chat group, 9 a.m.

Stop in, work on your own projects, knit, crochet or embroider.

·Nov. 10 and 17: “Acrylic” with instructor Judy Peters, 9:30 a.m.

Paint beautiful acrylic landscape scenery and subjects with brush techniques on canvas.

Bring a photo for inspiration, canvas, palette and an acrylic set with basic brushes.

·Nov. 13, 20 and 27: “Drawing” led by instructor Judy Peters, 9:30 a.m.

Learn how to draw with pencils.

This is an introduction to composition, outline and shading.

·Nov. 9, 16 and 30: “Junk Journaling/Book Making” led by instructor Jean Burd, 10 a.m.

Remember scrapbooking of the 1990s? Well it is back with a twist!

No rules, let’s have fun making a book and filling it with themed pages.

·Nov. 9, 16 and 30: “Zentangle II” led by instructor Jean Burd, 12:30 p.m.

Make projects that can be used in your home.

Projects will be a corner bookmark, Folio books, picture frame, gift bag, etc.

·Nov. 8: Paint N’ Sip “Skates” led by Angela Faidley, 6-8 p.m.

Everyone will create their own “masterpiece.”

Price includes materials and wine.

·Nov. 14, 21 and 28: “Ceramics” with instructor Bonny Batman, 9 a.m.

Come join this fun ongoing drop in ceramics class. Price includes paints.

The following groups will also be offered.

·Nov. 9, 16 and 30: Photography Composition Basics with instructor Ray Royer, 12:30 p.m. Learn how to improve your photography using your cellphone or any camera.

·Nov. 10: Socrates Café with moderator Saul Coplan, 10 a.m.

This program will begin with a question chosen by the group and end with even more questions.
