Florence E. Hartzell, 96, formerly of Emmaus, died Oct. 1, 2023, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Paul C. Hartzell Sr. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Mervin and Edna G. (Mangold) Kuhns.

She was a member of Cedar Church, Cetronia.

Before retiring, she worked as a seamstress at the former Emmaus Mfg.

She was a member of Citizens Fire Co. #1 and #2 and enjoyed playing bingo and camping.

She is survived by children, William L. and his wife, Monalisa, of Ashland, Viola F. and her husband, John Ritter, of Emmaus, Reuben R. and his wife, Arminda, of Lansford, Lewis N. and his wife, Karen, of Emmaus; brother, Arthur Kuhns, of Breinigsville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Paul C. Jr., Arthur M.; brothers, Lewis, Norman, Raymond, Paul and Arthur; sisters Viola, Eleanor, Mary Lou and Doris.
