Police arrested Elijah Watkins, 19, of Bethlehem, for the shooting of another man on Ettwein Street late Sept. 8.
Officers at the scene applied first aid, and the victim’s bleeding was controlled within minutes of the 911 call, and the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
An investigation found evidence of gun use and footage from a nearby residential camera which allegedly showed Watkins approaching the victim’s car. The victim later corroborated the suspect’s appearance and the act as an attempted robbery. A firearm was also recovered at the suspect’s residence.
Watkins is charged with carrying firearms without a license, possessing an instrument of crime, robbery, aggravated assault and attempted homicide.
