James L. Herman, 65, of Coplay, died Sept. 6, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late James A. and Mary Ann (Bohar) Herman.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Penn State University.

He was the owner and operator of Egypt West Apartments, North Whitehall Township, for more than 30 years.

He competed in horseshoe leagues.

He is survived by a son, James T.; two daughters, Kadi Lee and fiance Gunnar of Coplay and Kali Ann of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jett, Blaire and Natalie; and three sisters, Barbara Wirth and husband Jeffrey of Danielsville, Karen A. Pammer of Northampton and Maureen L. Leaswitch of Walnutport.

Services are private.
