Dwayne Chandler, 55, of Allentown, was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly being involved in an altercation in the 5800 block of Snowy Orchid Lane, Upper Macungie Township.

Upper Macungie Township police were dispatched 3:30 a.m. on July 27 to the 2400 block of Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, for a report of an alleged assault.

Police say after speaking with a man at that location, officers learned the alleged assault had occurred at the Snowy Orchid Lane address.

The man reported to police he allegedly had a physical altercation with Chandler, an acquaintance, and he was slashed with a sharp object in both his neck and arm, police say.

According to police, the man was treated at a medical facility and released.

In addition to Chandler being charged with aggravated assault, he has also been charged with simple assault and harassment, police say.
