Emmaus Founder’s Day dinner July 29

The village of Emmaus is celebrating the founding of Emmaus, Pa. July 29. The actual founding was July 27, 1747.

Two of the founders who donated approximately 100 acres of land for the development of the village are celebrated at this event. In particular they celebrate the generosity of Pennsylvania Pioneers Sebastian Knauss and Jacob Ehrenhardt.

The celebration will be at the Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main St., Emmaus, in the Fellowship Hall. The celebration begins 5:15 p.m.

The 1803 House/museums and historical societies are hosting the event.

Tickets are available at Emmaus Moravian Church, the Emmaus Jewel Shop and the Emmaus Run Inn through July 22. There is a cost.

The celebration includes music, dinner, birthday cake and a presentation by Joshua Fink. For information, call 610-967-4401.
