Burglary

Someone broke a sliding-glass door to enter a residence along Yorkshire Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 1:30 and 10 p.m. March 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The residence was ransacked. Between $5,000 and $10,000 in cash and $10,000 in jewelry were taken from the residence, according to authorities.

Someone broke a rear basement door and entered a residence along Pembroke Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A watch valued at $7,000, jewelry valued at $1,000 and $100 cash were removed from the residence, according to authorities.

A 17-year-old male, of Alburtis and a 15-year-old male, of Macungie, were taken into custody at the clubhouse of Woodmont Valley Apartments, 3535 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, April 11 after an investigation found they allegedly got into the clubhouse and were sleeping there.

A rear window was found broken after three suspects were seen by a witness as they entered the backyard of a residence along Swabia Court, Lower Macungie Township, 12:30 a.m. April 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI

A 25-year-old female, of Alburtis, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of South Seventh Street and Furnace Street, Emmaus borough, 12:14 a.m. May 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 37-year-old male, of Macungie, was taken into custody after allegedly hurting another person at a location along Mohr Circle, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two people were charged with alleged summary harassment after an argument escalated into a physical altercation at a location along Heritage Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 9:50 p.m. Feb. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from motor vehicle

Items were removed from two vehicles along Hunt Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 5.

A GPS unit was removed from a vehicle parked along Hickory Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 16.

Fraud

A resident of Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned her credit card was fraudulently used to buy a Nest Learning Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat, valued at $483.35, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 25.

Someone attempted to persuade a resident of Lower Milford Township to wire transfer $50,000 to them between May 3 and May 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft of motor vehicle

A dark blue 2013 Chevrolet Captiva compact SUV was reported stolen from a location on Heritage Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 1:34 a.m. March 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

A residence on Sherman Drive, Lower Macungie Township, was defaced with eggs, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 19.

Theft

Someone removed an iPhone from a shopping cart while the owner was in the restroom at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 7000 block of Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between March 14 and April 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone removed a wallet from a shopping cart at a location along North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone attempted to cash a check for $10,000 by using a debit card of an account holder at Embassy Bank, Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The bank placed a hold on the check and money was not given to the person who allegedly attempted to cash the check. The incident was reported March 20.

A 23-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly attempted to cash an altered check at University Bank, 5089 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported to authorities April 21.

A resident of Harvest Lane, Upper Milford Township, received a notification that a monthly tuition payment was late, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident later learned the check, dated Dec. 23, 2022, was deposited fraudulently Jan. 18. The incident was reported Feb. 2.

Someone removed an employee’s bike from Lower Macungie Middle School, 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 2. The bike was parked at the rear of the building at the time, according to authorities.

Retail theft

A 50-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly removed merchandise, valued at $59.99, from a retailer in the 700 block of North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 7.

Identity theft

A resident of Fox Meadow Drive, Upper Milford Township, learned someone used his personal information to try to open an account with Chase Bank, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 1.

Disorderly conduct

Two people were arrested for alleged disorderly conduct after state troopers were dispatched to a fight in progress in the 7100 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 3:56 p.m. March 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Dog law violation

A 50-year-old female, of Macungie, was cited for a dog law violation after a person said they were bitten by a dog at a location along Lehigh Street, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 7:34 p.m. March 29.

Accidents

A Macungie motorist escaped injury when he allegedly fell asleep while driving and struck a garage in the 4700 block of Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:57 p.m. April 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was eastbound when it went off the road and hit the building. Yocum Towing also responded.

A Bechtelsville motorist escaped injury when his vehicle overturned in a one vehicle crash in the 4400 block of Kings Highway North, Upper Milford Township, 6:53 p.m. April 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was traveling south when the motorist turned onto East Macungie Road and struck an embankment causing the vehicle to topple, according to authorities. Mechanic’s Plus also responded.

A Quakertown motorist escaped injury when her vehicle overturned in a one vehicle crash near the intersection of Limeport Pike and Spinnerstown Road, Lower Milford Township, 8:31 p.m. April 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle slid off the road and hit an embankment before overturning. Detwilers Towing also responded.

DUI

A 28-year-old male, of Lebanon, allegedly was driving under the influence near the intersection of South Pike Avenue and Old South Pike Avenue, Salisbury Township, 12:55 a.m. May 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
