UPPER MACUNGIE: Summer programs offered

Upper Macungie Township, in partnership with Brian Bleam, will offer Summer Tennis Session I for ages 7 to adult 4:30-7:30 p.m. until July 3 at Blue Barn Park, 5770 Snowy Orchid Lane.

Participants will need to bring their own racquet and water bottle.

Yoga in the Park classes are offered from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays; 5-6 p.m. Wednesdays and 9-10 a.m. Fridays, until Sept. 27 at Ricky Park, 5875 Ricky Ridge Trail, Orefield.

Participants need to bring a yoga mat and water bottle.

The 2023 Parkland Area Summer Rec Camp will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday June 12 through Aug. 4 at Jaindl and Fogelsville elementary schools.

Community Day will take place noon to 8 p.m. June 24 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

This is a family-focused celebration of all things Upper Macungie.

Kids and adults will find so much to do and see as there will be firefighter competitions, bounce houses, bungee trampolines, magicians, bands, food trucks and vendors, cold beverages and much more.

Mad Science of the Lehigh Valley will offer kids ages 6-12 a camp experience sure to entertain and delight at its Brixology Camp 9 a.m. to noon June 26-30 at the Lone Lane Park Pavilion, 30 Lone Lane.

Using LEGO® bricks, kids will build a different engineering-themed project in each class of this specialty camp.

They will also explore different engineering fields, including mechanical, structural, aerospace, nautical, and bioengineering using critical thinking, and creative problem-solving to test and improve their creations.
