June 3

Salisbury Elementary School Ice Cream Festival, hosted by the school PTO, will be held at the school, 1400 Gaskill St., noon to 4 p.m.

A patriotic program and concert with the Allentown Marine Band will be held 7 p.m. at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. The event will be held outside in the grove, weather permitting, or otherwise inside the historic 1819 sanctuary of the church. This concert, sponsored by the Memorial Day Committee, will honor patriotic holidays throughout the year, and will include a special memorial tribute to the deceased veterans of all wars, as well as recognition of those veterans present at the program. Refreshments will be served following the concert. Donations will be accepted benefitting the Memorial Day Committee to help defray the costs of the program.

June 4

The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus will host its 48th annual Pancake and Sausage Festival 8 a.m. to noon at Emmaus Fire Co. #1, Sixth and Broad streets. The event includes raffles, face painting and mascot appearances. Children under 10 are admitted free.

Bingo 2 p.m. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury, 1707 Church Road, Allentown. Doors open 1 p.m. For information, call Louise at 484-456-1148.

June 6

Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. The program is “Meet The American Rose Society” with Lisa Walton, an active member of the Lehigh Valley Rose Society. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be available.

June 7

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold a free food distribution 2 to 4 p.m. Also June 14, 21 and 28. Recipients must reside in the East Penn School District. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.

June 9

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold a free community meal in the church fellowship hall 4 to 5:30 p.m. The menu will be chicken Alfredo over pasta, broccoli and a dessert. Take-out meals will also be available; drive to the back doors for pickup.

June 10

St. Mark Lutheran Church, 201 E. Juniata St., Allentown, is holding a neighborhood community food drop off to benefit their open door pantry 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will be there to assist. Suggested items for donation include cereal, canned goods, canned meats, juices, beans, snack bars, etc. For questions, call 610-797-6440.

June 19-22

Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus, in partnership with the BARN Community, is conducting Vacation Bible School for kids age 3 through the fifth grade at Faith Church 6-8 p.m. This year’s theme is “Bug Zone - Transformed by Our Big God.” More information and registration forms are available on the church’s website, www.Faithchurchemmaus.org. Register early as space is limited to 30.

June 24

Mark your calendar for the Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. #1 chicken barbecue event at the firehouse, 6341 Chestnut St., Old Zionsville. Dinners available for drive-thru pickup noon to 4 p.m. or until sold out. June 29

Join other township residents for Salisbury Township Night at the IronPigs. The game starts 7:05 p.m. Tickets include a $2 concession credit. To order tickets, complete the registration form on the township website and return it to the township building.

July 8

The 2023 Jerusalem Western Salisbury Concert Series continues with a concert 7 p.m. at the church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, featuring a local musical group, the Cedar Routes, who play folk country gospel music. The event will be held outside in the grove, weather permitting, or otherwise inside the historic 1819 Sanctuary of the Church.
