Pa. Dutch dialect students receive diplomas

BY LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

More than two dozen students of Pennsylvania Dutch attended a 15-week-long class taught by David and Jean Adam, of Orefield, at Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield.

Many of the students had taken the class multiple times over the years but keep coming back for the camaraderie and to pick up new Pennsylvania Dutch phrases. The evening began with a covered dish dinner featuring a variety of Pennsylvania Dutch foods and desserts.

Diplomas were then given to all those in attendance.
