Writer supports Kelly, Roth, Peischl for S. Whitehall Township board

To the Editor:

The present South Whitehall Township Board of Commissioners, led by Diane Kelly, has been able to accomplish much over the past few years.

The township audits are now up to date after being delinquent for many years, a new comprehensive plan was put into place to guide the township’s future growth, a balanced budget was passed without having to raise taxes, our first responders are receiving the support they need to do their jobs effectively, our local government is being run with more transparency than ever before, and a new management team is in place.

But there is still much to do, and many of these accomplishments can be undone if we elect the wrong people.

There’s too much at stake to go backward.

Diane Kelly, Jacob Roth and Chris Peischl all share the same ideals of balanced moderate growth, transparency, safety of our first responders, and accountability to the taxpayers.

They will help guide the preservation of farmland and open spaces, and they will strive to maintain the financial health of the township. They each have the background and record that shows that they can be trusted to do what they say they will do.

In the upcoming primary election on May 16, the choice is clear.

By electing Chris Peischl and Jacob Roth, and re-electing Diane Kelly, we can ensure that the township will continue to move forward
