Michael Divers running for seat on Lowhill board of supervisors

Michael Divers, who says he is a proud resident of Lowhill Township, has announced he is running for a four-year term as a supervisor.

“I feel the township needs some direction for the path of suburban growth,” Divers said.

Divers has been on the Lowhill Township Planning Commission for more than three years and has been taking Lehigh Valley Planning Commission classes.

“It is important for me to listen to the needs of the residents on what they want and stand up for them,” Divers said.

Divers says he is against the giant warehouse takeover and wants to bring legitimacy and openness to the situation for residents of the township and to set a professional standard.

He has been a volunteer with the Fogelsville Fire Company and is currently the head trustee for the fire company.

“I am also an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fogelsville and am the current and past president of the church council,” Divers said.

Divers says he has been involved in all aspects of the community and is involved in business and running the everyday responsibilities of a business for more than 35 years.

“I feel the infrastructure needs to be adjusted to fit our needs and we are not there yet,” Divers said.

The candidate says he is dedicated to the citizens of the township and is an advocate for smart growth.
