Kathleen K. Smith, 71, of Whitehall, died April 5, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was the wife of Richard L. Smith Sr. for 30 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Gladys (Hawkey) Mammana.

She was a machine operator for Alpo/Nestle-Purina Corporation, Allentown, for 12 years until she retired in 1992.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Annette and husband Jim Schrantz of Schnecksville; a stepson, Richard L. Smith Jr. and wife Jenny of Macungie; a stepdaughter, Laurie Hutterer of Walnutport; two sisters, Faye Mammana of Allentown and Raye and husband Douglas Koren of Allentown; five grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Virginia Sommers, Constance Mammana and Ellen Bloom.
