ATV arrest

Among growing concern about hazardous dirtbike and All-Terrain Vehicle traffic on roadways, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin announced the arrest of Taurean Durran Farmer, 40, of Pen Argyl.

Farmer was wanted for several incidents of reckless driving on roadways on an ATV for numerous traffic violations and fleeing and obstructing police. Two incidents happened in one day in July 2022. In the first, on Tilghman Street in Upper Macungie Township, Farmer was allegedly driving at unsafe speeds, doing wheelies with a passenger behind him, and swerved into oncoming traffic to evade police.

About five minutes later in South Whitehall Township, Farmer was observed traveling with a large group of motorcycles and ATVs wich did not stop for police lights. Farmer allegedly blocked a police from passing for two blocks.

Farmer again fled police July 19.

Farmer was arrested on a Lehigh County warrant in New York City and was extradited to the county. he is currently in Lehigh County Jail.
