AIDSNET builds healthier communities by planning and funding HIV/AIDS care and prevention services. Join our board of directors and offer guidance, direction, and monitoring of regional goals and expectations, and overall management of the organization. A Volunteer Ombudsman is a community neighbor who is specially trained to find answers and resolve simple problems older adults experience in the long-term care system in Northampton County and Lehigh County. A particular need is for bi-lingual volunteers (English and Spanish). Background checks are required. Training is provided by Catholic Charities Diocese of Allentown. The 10th Annual 3.21 Run for Down Syndrome will take place with nearly 400 participants Saturday, April 8th on the Lehigh Parkway. Funds raised help support the mission of the Eastern Pennsylvania Down Syndrome Center. Tour guides at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts lead guests through the museum while presenting a lively and educational narrative about the changing styles of the decorative arts over more than three centuries, answering visitor questions and helping guests to step back in time. Docents will receive training from Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites to provide an engaging tour experience for visitors of all ages! Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Foundation is seeking community volunteers to staff the 2023 Lehigh Valley Auto Show at Stabler Arena, Bethlehem. Shifts are four to five hours beginning 4 – 8 p.m. March 22; 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. March 23, 24, 25; 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. March 26. All functions are indoors. Help to play a vital role in maintaining the blood supply for the community where you live. Miller-Keystone Blood Center has many volunteer opportunities available throughout the communities that we serve and at our donor centers in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton. Project Blueprint is a leadership development program designed to help nonprofit organizations develop boards that are reflective of the culturally diverse communities they serve.
