Brenda D. Michael-Shimmel, 66, of Shickshinny and formerly of Northampton, died March 7, 2023. She was the wife of the late Jerome K. Shimmel.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Dieter) Michael.

She was a 1974 graduate of Northampton High School.

She and her sisters continued the family business, Michael’s Concessions, of Northampton.

She was active in the PA Showman’s Association and was both a past president and a director.

She is survived by a son, Kelley and wife Jennifer of Jermyn; four sisters, Karen Michael-Shea of Danielsville, Audrey Michael of Orefield and Roberta Trexler and Mary Ann Gaumer, both of Easton; two grandchildren, Hunter and Avery Michael; nieces; and nephews.
