Catasauqua: Historical program set for March 14

Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association will hold a program on the borough’s historical districts 7 p.m. March 14 at the Public Library of Catasauqua, 302 Bridge St.

Come and learn Catasauqua’s contributions to the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and United States during this free program.

The Friends of Catasauqua Parks will next meet 6:30 p.m. March 15 at Catasauqua Municipal Complex, 90 Bridge St.

The groups meets the third Wednesday of the month.

The mission of the group is to improve the quality of life for Catasauqua residents through recreational fundraising events to sustain the borough parks.

New volunteers/members are always sought. There is no cost or dues to join this group.

Robbie Lawrence and the Steelworkers Polka Band is coming to Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St.

The event is 3-6 p.m. March 25. There is an admission fee, and the kitchen will be open.

St. Mary’s Church, 122 Union St., will hold a Grab n’ Go, Heat n’ Eat event.

Orders must be made in advanced. Specify the number of meals you’re requesting with payment by March 12.

Pickup is 4-5:30 p.m. March 17.

Enjoy an oven-ready portion of our homemade shepherd’s pie of ground beef, carrots, celery, peas, onions and mashed potatoes. This comes with a side salad of fresh greens, cucumber, grape tomatoes, croutons and balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
