Press photo courtesy ChartER Arts HS Alyzah-Shea Avila, Valencia Patrick and Bianca Felix, board members of the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Black Student Union (BSU), dedicated proceeds from the club's Black Excellence Show held in February to the BSU's LIttle Free Libraries initiative. In addition to monetary donations, the club also collected more than 50 donated books at the show. The BSU built and installed two libraries in 2021, one is located on the school's campus and one is located at a private residence in Allentown. The Little Free Library book-sharing movement fosters “Building Community, Inspiring Readers, and Expanding Book Access for All.”
