The latest recording, “Strike Up The Band” (2022), has been on The Roots Music Radio Charts Top 30 since its release. The group has 16 studio CDs, an LP and three DVDs on Woodstock Records. The Grammy-nominated Woodstock, N.Y., group has performed at the Thunder Bay, London and Windsor Festivals in Canada. The group is: Professor Louie (Aaron L. Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Liberty High School Grenadier Pipes & Drums, 7:30 p.m. March 2, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, a Celtic-rock band formed in Scotland in 2002, returns to the State Theatre stage, along with the Liberty High School ensemble. The Pipers perform traditional pipe tunes and contemporary pieces, including “We Will Rock You” by Queen, “Clocks” by Coldplay and “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. The band has released nine albums. The Pipers had its first success in 2007 when voted No. 1 on an episode of the BBC TV show, “When Will I be Famous?” The band includes Kevin MacDonald, Willie Armstrong and Malcolm McEwan.
