Feb. 1

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold a free food distribution 2 to 4 p.m. Also Feb. 8, 15 and 22. Signs will be posted to direct motorists where to park and which door to use to pick up food.

Feb. 4

The 16th annual SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival will be held noon to 4 p.m. at various locations in Emmaus borough, including the Emmaus Public Library and Triangle Park. Highlights will include ice carving demonstrations, music performances and a scavenger hunt. Visit emmausarts.org for more information.

The Emmaus Historical Society will participate in the 16th annual Emmaus Arts Commission SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival. The museum will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature local artist Bob Boehmer.

Feb. 5

Salisbury High School baseball cash bingo 1 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, Allentown, sponsored by the SHS baseball booster club. Civil War Round Table of Eastern Pennsylvania presents: An Evening with “Devil Dan” 7:15 p.m. at Delta the Hotels by Marriott (formerly Holiday Inn), 7336 Adrienne Drive, Breinigsville. “History best remembers me for my heroic actions on the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg. But did you know many people remember me as an adulterer, bon vivant, murderer and rogue? Generally speaking (no pun intended), I am a most colorful and controversial historic figure and I invite you walk in and learn more about me.” Walk-ins are welcome; there is a lecture fee and no reservations are required.

Feb. 10

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold its monthly drive-up/take-out free community meal 4 to 5:30 p.m. The meal will be ravioli casserole with meat sauce, salad with homemade poppy seed dressing, roll and butter and homemade sugar cookies.

Feb. 13

The Emmaus Public Library will host local author Jeffrey Dutt 6 p.m. Dutt is the author of the book “The Little Book for Teachers Who Think Big.” To register, call 610-965-9284 or email eplcollection@cliu.org.

Feb. 15

The Emmaus Historical Society will present a program 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. The program titled, “The History of the Structure and Inhabitants of the Shelter House, the Oldest House in Emmaus,” will be presented by Dean Bortz, on-site curator of the Shelter House. All are welcome to attend this free event. Refreshments and cake will be served immediately following the program in celebration of the 31st anniversary of the founding of the Emmaus Historical Society.

Feb. 23

Neil Moser will talk about his career as a schoolteacher and principal in Upper Milford Township in the monthly program of the Upper Milford Historical Society 7 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township building, 5671 Chestnut St. Moser will talk about his days as teacher and principal at Kings Highway and Vera Cruz schools in the township. Alburtis Boy Scout Troop 86 will hold its 28th annual hunting, fishing and sportsmen’s flea market 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alburtis Area Community Center, 220 W. Second St., Alburtis. New and used fishing, hunting, camping and boating equipment as well as collectibles will be available. There is an admission fee. Children under 12 get in free of charge. The third annual Tee Time at the Library fundraiser will be held 6-9 p.m. March 24, for adults 21 and older only and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 25, for families, at the Emmaus Public Library, 11 E.
