Edward Joseph Hassick Sr., 90, died January 19, 2023. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late George and Susan (Risak) Hassick. He was the husband of Ann Loretta (Fatebene) Hassick for 63 years.

He was a graduate of Bethlehem Vo-Tech. He played football for Liberty High School.

He was in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956, with time in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

He was a machinist in the No. 2 Mchine Shop, Bethlehem Steel Corporation, from which he retired.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Judy Hassick; a son, Edward Joseph Jr. and his wife Roseann; three grandchildren, Edward Joseph Hassick III and his wife Gina; Coriann Hassick and fiancé Giulio; and Michael Hassick; three great-grandchildren, Jace, Weston and Riley Hassick; and a sister, Suzanne Finn.

He was predeceased by four siblings, George, Paul, Irene, and Ann.
