Lloyd W. Mummert

Lloyd W. Mummert, 100, of Catasauqua and formerly of Florida, died Jan. 3, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of the late Francine L. (Reinsmith) Mummert.

Born in Greencastle, he was a son of the late Luther and Leila (Fortney) Mummert.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was, until he retired, a longtime machinist for Ingersoll-Rand, Allentown.

He was a member of Greenleaf Lodge 561 F&AM, Rajah Shrine, and of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2124, Allentown. He was active with the Police Athletic League. He was a local and state level bowler.

He is survived by a daughter, Paula J. Kesack with husband William of Catasauqua; three grandchildren, Jason, Aaron and Alicia; five great-grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Emma, Isabele and Ella; and a brother, Jack Mummert with wife Jean.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Turner; a son, Michael L. Mummert; and four sisters, Florence Viar, Charlotte Wishard, Leona Lesage and Julia Mummert.

There will be a calling time 10 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., Jan. 20 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall.
