Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering needs a specialized volunteer to help with our various email communications. The volunteer should have working knowledge and experience with email clients (specifically Mail Chimp and will need to be able to work within a team setting that meets monthly via virtual meetings. The National Canal Museum (NCM) is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with our children’s program, Kids on the Canal! Volunteers should enjoy doing crafts and demonstrating planned activities to kids visiting the museum every 3rd Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. from April to December. Tasks include setup/cleanup and interacting with kids and families as they visit. Training provided and clearances required. This is a great opportunity for groups to volunteer together! Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley in Bethlehem seeks hardworking volunteers to assist with stocking shelves after Second Harvest monthly delivery 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month. Tour guides at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts lead guests through the museum while presenting a lively and educational narrative about the changing styles of the decorative arts over more than three centuries. Tour guides answer visitors’ questions and help guests to step back in time as they learn about the exhibits. Training provided by Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites. Our food pantry serves over 200 families per month and runs solely on the assistance of volunteers. Northeast Community Center in Bethlehem is seeking volunteers to assist with food distribution on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in our busy food pantry. Help with preparing vegetables, and feed & water the ducks, chickens, piggies, alpacas, goats, horses and more! The Gress Mountain Ranch, Orefield, needs your help every day with cleaning of the pens and stalls, as well as general grounds maintenance (picking up branches, etc.).
