SHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am a senior at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. I live with my mom, Beth, my dad, Mike, my older brother, Sam, my three younger sisters, Faith, Hope and Joy and my dog, Sassy.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is chorus because I feel the closest bond to my classmates in this class and I have a passion for singing, so being able to show my love for it during school helps boost my mood.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have been recognized for my poster art that I have created for various chorus and theater productions, as well as performing in them.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. I am involved in theater, Spanish club and STARs, a club dedicated to help people stop smoking and distracted driving.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I plan to go to Kutztown University and I’m thinking about studying marine biology and performance arts.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge as a senior is preparing myself to make the shift from high school to college in only a few months.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered for my love for the stage and my skills in graphic design.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire many people, but I have always looked up to my parents, as they have always been accepting of my choices and have been my biggest role models throughout my life.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice for my peers in high school is to make the best of the four years you have in any way possible, because they go by quicker than you may think.
