At 11:02 p.m. Sept. 2, 2022, state police were called to a two-vehicle crash on Airport Road south of Catasauqua Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

An investigation revealed that Brian C. McGoldrick, 42, of Glenside, drove a 2018 Toyota Prius northbound in the southbound lanes of Airport Road and struck another vehicle head on. That vehicle, a 2009 Toyota Yaris, was driven by Catherine Ann Neelon, 54. Neelon died from blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle accident and her death was ruled accidental by the Lehigh County Coroner.

McGoldrick is charged with aggravated assault and homicide by vehicle while intoxicated as well as other numerous other driving violations.
