Marlene Frantz

Marlene Frantz died Dec. 23, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Althea Steigerwalt.

She was the widow of Dean Frantz, whom she loved whole heartedly.

Her survivors include a son Matthew Frantz, and his wife, Debbie; granddaughters Shannon, Myrena, Dakota and Makela; her brother Richard Steigerwalt (his late wife Alice); sisters Cheryl Ravert and husband William, and Tootsie (Wilburta) Bryfogle and husband, David; and a daughter not seen since 1991.

A 1958 graduate of Palmerton High School, she was a member of the Eastern Star.

She worked several jobs including being a stenographer for various places, a waitress for the Golden Key Hotel, and cleaned houses for several people. For about the last 35 years, she worked as the UCC administrative assistant at Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville.

She loved camping with friends and family, gardening, sitting under the tree, visiting Knoebles Amusement Park, baking, shopping and getting lost anywhere she went.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 7 in Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ziegels UCC ITB Memorial Fund or to Prager Patient Assistant Fund (make checks out to the Lehigh Valley Health Network with the memo stating Prager Patient Assistant Fund in memory of Marlene Frantz, c/o the funeral Home, P.O. Box 52, Fogelsville, PA 18051.
