Fleeing and eluding police

An Allentown motorist was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to flee a traffic stop in Lower Macungie Township 12:44 a.m. Dec. 8, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was detailed in a news release as follows: Troopers attempted a traffic stop on a red Mercedes C280 sedan for speeding at U.S. Route 222 and North Krocks Road in Lower Macungie Township. The motorist fled the traffic stop north on Route 222. The vehicle struck a parked vehicle before state police troopers stopped the vehicle. The motorist then fled the car on foot but was taken into custody. The motorist allegedly did not have a valid license and was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. According to court documents, charges against the motorist include fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, evading arrest or detention on foot, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving without a license, reckless driving and speeding.

Burglary

Various pieces of jewelry, including a diamond tennis bracelet valued at $15,000, were removed from a residence in the 1000 block of Butternut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, after someone unlawfully entered the residence between 12:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Nov. 11, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Other items taken include a Tag Heuer watch valued at $5,000, 8MM pearl earrings, an 18-inch strand of white pearls, a 24-inch strand of white pearls, a white gold college ring, a silver high school class ring, a 14K pearl and diamond necklace, a 14K gold necklace with pendant, a monogrammed 14K gold disc pendant, a gold star pendant with six small diamonds, a gold heart necklace with an etched rose design, a 20-inch 18K gold necklace, a two carat round diamond on a 14K gold necklace, a 14K gold necklace, a 14K gold crucifix on a chain and a small heart pendant with a diamond chip in the center. A child’s bicycle was found at the intersection of Hillcrest Drive and Laurel Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 9:03 a.m. Nov. 14, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Retail theft

A 19-year-old male, of Zionsville, was taken into custody for alleged retail theft at Joe’s Kwik Mart and gas station, 4002 Chestnut St., Upper Milford Township, 7 p.m. Nov. 18, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities described the male as an employee of the store at the time of the incident.

A person allegedly under rang approximately $217.39 in merchandise at Weis Market, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between Sept. 29 and Nov. 14, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two females and a male allegedly removed various cologne and perfume items from Ulta Beauty store and salon, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 103, Lower Macungie Township, 5:05 p.m. Nov. 6, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Someone removed a total of $210.38 in merchandise from Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Nov. 4, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 16, 2022.

A male suspect allegedly used a cutting tool to take off wrappers and sensors from multiple men’s fragrances, with a total estimated value of $1,324 and remove the items from Ulta Beauty store and salon, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 103, Lower Macungie Township, around 2 p.m. Nov. 26, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Indecent exposure

A 54-year-old male, of Emmaus, allegedly exposed himself outside a residence on Shimerville Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:23 p.m. Sept. 6, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
