Person not to possess a firearm

A 30-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly having a loaded pistol after state police responded to a residence in the 4900 block of Liberty Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 6 a.m. Oct. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities detailed the incident in a news release as follows: Troopers responded to the location for a report concerning a male under the influence of a controlled substance armed with a knife and a handgun. When troopers arrived, the male allegedly did not comply with verbal commands from authorities. The male allegedly was seen inside the residence with a knife and was throwing items into the backyard at the residence. A loaded pistol was found in the yard, which the male was determined to have possession of, according to authorities. Suspected methamphetamine and various pills were found in the residence, according to authorities.

Theft of vehicle

A person used a false Pennsylvania driver’s license to obtain a rental agreement for a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck from U-Haul, 2830 State Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, in early August, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was reported stolen Aug. 13 after the truck was not returned. The vehicle was described as having U-Haul markings and displaying an Arizona registration plate AL63684.

DUI

A 66-year-old male, of Zionsville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence at a traffic stop at the intersection of Brookside Road and North Walnut Street, Lower Macungie Township, 12:27 a.m. Oct. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old male, of Whitehall, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the intersection of South Cedar Crest Boulevard and North Street, Emmaus borough, 2:41 a.m. Aug. 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 49-year-old male, of Kutztown, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop along U.S. Route 222 South, Lower Macungie Township, 11:22 p.m. July 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 66-year-old male, of Bethlehem, allegedly was driving under the influence resulting in a crash near the intersection of U.S. Route 222 North and Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:17 p.m. Aug. 25, according to Pennsylvania State police Fogelsville.

Retail theft

Perfume valued at $150 was removed from Ulta Beauty cosmetics store and salon, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 103, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 12:02 p.m. Aug. 5.

Harassment

A 38-year-old female, of Allentown and a 39-year-old male, of Reading, were cited for harassment after an argument escalated in a parking lot at Mack Trucks, 7000 Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:20 p.m. Aug. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The female allegedly shoved the male in the chest and the male allegedly struck the female in the chest with a closed fist.

A 19-year-old female, of Macungie and a 46-year-old male, of Macungie, were cited for harassment after an argument escalated at a location on Heather Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly slapped a phone out of the female’s hands and the female allegedly pulled the male to the ground.

A 42-year-old male, of Macungie, was cited for harassment after he allegedly shoved and threw food at another person at a location on Fresh Meadow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 40-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged with harassment after she allegedly shoved another person at a location on Springridge Drive West, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The female then allegedly fled the location.

A 33-year-old female, of Allentown, was cited for allegedly harassing another person as part of an ongoing situation at a location on Buttercup Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 30-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly shoved another person during an argument at a location on Cold Spring Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Accidents

A motorist escaped injury when the sport utility vehicle he was driving overturned in a one-vehicle crash on South Fifth Street, Upper Milford Township, 7:37 a.m. Aug. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was 250 feet south of Skytop Drive when the driver lost control on a right hand turn, went off the road and hit a guide rail, causing the SUV to topple onto the driver’s side. Yocum Towing and Recovery also responded.

A motorist escaped injury when her vehicle went down an embankment and into a yard in the 4900 block of South Fifth Street, Upper Milford Township, 11:15 p.m. Aug. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver told police she heard a loud snap come from her vehicle and was then unable to turn the wheel to negotiate a left curve. The vehicle went off the road and struck a guard rail before continuing down the embankment. Yocum Towing and Recovery also responded.

Forgery

A resident of Zionsville Road, Lower Milford Township, learned someone removed a check from either the resident’s mailbox or a nearby post office, whitewashed it, changed the total to $15,000 and attempted to cash it against the resident’s bank account between Aug. 17 and Aug. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from

vehicle

A front passenger car window was smashed and a purse was removed from a glove box of a vehicle parked at Wildlands Conservancy, 3701 Orchid Place, Lower Macungie Township, Nov. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Contents of the purse included $300 cash and a debit/credit card. The card was later charged for $504.94, according to authorities.

A purse was removed from an unlocked vehicle parked at Churchview Park, 4602 Kohler Road, Upper Milford Township, Nov. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Contents of the purse included $250 cash and a credit card.

Someone attempted to remove items from a vehicle parked at a location on Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Multiple vehicles were entered and various items were removed at locations along Treeline Drive, Lower Macungie Township, overnight Aug. 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Identity theft

A resident of Salem Drive, Upper Milford Township, learned his personal information was compromised after his employer contacted him about an unemployment claim he did not make, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident attempted to access his unemployment account but was denied because the account password had been changed. The incident was reported Oct. 1 at the state police barracks, Schantz Road.

A resident of Gristmill Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned her personal information was used to open a credit card account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 6.

Theft of

services

A 59-year-old female, of Allentown, was cited for theft of services after she was allegedly seen dumping waste in a dumpster at a PPL substation near the intersection of East Texas Road and Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:51 p.m. Aug. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Scattering

rubbish

Garbage was dumped on a private property at a location on East Hill Road, Lower Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 30.

Theft

Someone removed prescription medication from the bag of an employee at Holiday Inn Allentown-Bethlehem, 4325 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 2.

Checks were removed from a location along Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported Nov. 10.

Someone entered a storage unit and removed several items at a location on Allen Street, Upper Milford Township, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Coins valued at $150 were removed from a mailbox at a location on Schantz Road, Upper Milford Township, between Aug. 5 and 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A check for $340 was removed from a mailbox at a location on Saw Mill Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 7:30 a.m. Aug. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old female, of Nazareth, allegedly removed a ring from a residence on Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between July 28 and 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A cellphone was removed from a restroom at Marshalls discount department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, between 2:45 and 3 p.m. Aug. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The phone was accidentally left in a restroom and was not there when the owner realized the phone was missing and returned to the restroom.

Found property

A property owner in the 3000 block of John Street, Upper Milford Township, found clothing, a small scale and 20 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine on his property, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The property owner reported the discovery 1:14 p.m. Sept. 2 and the items were seized by authorities.
