Fullerton: St. Elizabeth’s plans Jan. 8 breakfast

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be serving the first monthly breakfast of the new year 8-11:30 a.m. Jan. 8, 2023, in the parish hall.

Come and enjoy your favorites of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes, Danish, juice and coffee.

Whitehall Active Community Center held its annual board meeting Dec. 14 with elections.

The new officers are president, Christine Mack; vice president, Antonio Pineda; secretary, Lana Snyder; and treasurer, Eleanor Shumack.

The other board members are Tracy Glick, Rosemary Kromer, Lou Martocchio, Roberta Sheckler and Mary Jane Tomcics.

The center, located at 2301 Pine St., is the home of the Whitehall senior center. This is an active senior group that participates in tai chi, chair yoga, chair stretch and strength and bodies, bands and bells by Transform Rehab.

Other highlights include craft class, computer class and a free afternoon movie once a month.

Cash bingo is played Thursdays following lunch. Lunch is served daily Mondays through Fridays for a small donation.

The center is open 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily and is always looking for new members.
