Constance B. Kovacs

Constance B. Kovacs, 84, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 6, 2022, at Sacred Heart Living, Center Valley. She was the wife of the late James E. Kovacs for 59 years.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Stianche) Pisklak.

She was a Summit Hill High School graduate. She completed a nursing program at Sacred Heart School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse at several Lehigh Valley hospitals and for private practices.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and was a member of the Young at Heart group and the greeter committee.

She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Bertsch and husband Timothy; two sons, David and wife Lisa and Robert; three sisters, Elizabeth Dickman, Ann Marie Lill with George and Marylin Pisklak; a brother, John Pisklak with Tambria; seven grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Bertsch, Nicole Souders, Amanda Schmidt, Emily Farris and Kelsey and Ryan Kovacs; and five great-grandchildren, Hailey, Aiden, Jude, Michael and Nolan.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, John Dickman; and a daughter-in-law, Colleen Kovacs.

There will be a calling hour 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. Jan. 14, 2023, at the church, 2181 Washington Ave., Northampton.

Contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or to a charity of one’s choice.
