Joseph J. Bednar crane operator

Joseph J. Bednar, 95, of Bethlehem, died December 17, 2022, while in the care of Moravian Village. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John and Suzanna (Pushkar) Bednar. He was the husband of the late Anna (Petro) Bednar.

He was in the United States Navy in both World War II and the Korean War.

He was a crane operator for the Bethlehem Steel for most of his life until he retired.

He was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, Bethlehem.

He is survived by a daughter, Laraine Demshock and her husband Thomas of Bethlehem; a granddaughter, Alexandra Demshock; a sister, Rose Gallagher of Hellertown; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by eight siblings, John, Michael, Elizabeth, Helen, Veronica, Mary, Margaret and Anne.
